Here you will find info about vacuum cleaners and how to’s, about carpet cleaning, protection and upholstery care. The good form of carpet cleaning is always prevention. Taking proper care and maintaining your carpet.

Soils in your carpet

About 80% of soils that enter a building or house are dry. The remaining 20% are oils, greases and starches.

Why you need to clean your carpet

A routine cleaning is what is necessary to get rid allergens and also to prevent other organisms living in your carpet.

Having a clean carpet is more than just healthy. It can also prolong the life of the carpet. If you have just installed the carpet, you already realize the expense involved in doing so. But, even if you have not just done this, you probably realize the benefits of keeping your carpet clean. It will add value to the home if it is well maintained. It will help to keep the home odor free as well.

Never rub rashly and carelessly at a carpet stain, this may only cause it to smear and become permanent. Also, doing this willweaken the fiber causing your carpet to wear out quicker.

Never use an iron or a hair dryer to dry a carpet stain; this will only seal the stain permanently on your rug.

A clean carpet is one that is taken care of. Take the time to vacuum often and make sure to do it correctly. That means going over the floor in several directions to allow the vacuum to pick up all the debris it can.

A high quality vacuum such as Simplicity or Riccar is the best choice.

Clean as directed by Carpet & Vacuum manufacturer to keep with in warranty suggestions.

How often should you service your vacuum?

Your vacuum should be serviced; every 12 to 18 months Or 6 to 8 months if have lots of Pet hair As dirt, dust and lint pass through your vacuum cleaner, a buildup in the bearing housings and bearings can slow down the brush roll causing excessive wear on your vacuum motor and belt. Over a period of time some brushes become soft, lose effectiveness and need to be replaced. A worn out brush may still look completely fine. If not replaced, it will simply turn, never touching the carpet. This cuts your cleaning efficiency by as much as 50 percent.
